January Exhibition - Will Lake

Local photographer Will Lake exhibits a collection of familiar views and dramatic landscapes
This exhibition showcases beautiful, dreamy images from Hebden Bridge, the Calder Valley and further across Yorkshire and the Lake District.
Will says: “I’ve loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I moved to Calderdale that I started taking more interest in the landscapes right on my doorstep.”
“Nowadays I get out and about as much as I can, sometimes on foot, sometimes cycling, and a few times each year with a tent on my back, but always taking a camera with me.”

“I don’t get particularly technical with my photography and prefer to travel light, so all my shots are hand-held and without using filters. I’ve never been too bothered about technical perfection in a photograph – it’s the overall mood of an everyday scene that really catches my eye.”
“Most of all, I just love to capture natural light, or the lack of it.”
